The NDIS Code of Conduct sets the standards for code-covered persons. The Code of Conduct must be upheld at all times and at every stage of support provision
For a worker in the disability sector, adhering to this code means committing to provide services and support of the highest standard. This includes respecting individual rights to freedom of expression, dignity, and independence, while ensuring a safe and competent environment. Workers are expected to act with integrity, honesty, and transparency, safeguarding against violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
The code not only guides professional conduct but also plays a crucial role in fostering trust and confidence among participants of the NDIS, ensuring their rights and wellbeing are always at the forefront of service delivery.
The NDIS Code of Conduct describes the behaviours expected of all workers and service providers providing NDIS Supports and services care or services to people receiving NDIS Support in Australia. It applies to all workers employed or otherwise engaged (including on a voluntary basis by Salveo Care PTY Ltd or by a contractor or subcontractor of Salveo Care PTY Ltd to provide care or other services to consumers.
Who must follow this code?
This code applies to all Salveo Care PTY Ltd workers. Within this code of conduct the term "Workers" is used as a collective term to refer to all representatives including key management, personnel, directors, employees, consultants, full time workers, part time workers, casual workers, contractors, trainees, and students and volunteers.
This Code applies regardless of:
> The type of employment (e.g., Chief Executive Officer, Manager, staff member, volunteer, or student)
> How you are employed (e.g., ongoing, temporary, or casual)
Acknowledgement
As a worker of Salveo Care PTY Ltd I acknowledge that I am required to comply with the NDIS Code of Conduct. I understand that this means that when providing care, supports and services, I must:
- act with respect for individual rights to freedom of expression, self-determination, and decision-making in accordance with relevant laws and conventions.

respect the privacy of people with disability

provide supports and services in a safe and competent manner with care and skill

act with integrity, honesty, and transparency

promptly take steps to raise and act on concerns about matters that might have an impact on the quality and safety of supports provided to people with disability

take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to all forms of violence, exploitation, neglect, and abuse of people with disability

take all reasonable steps to prevent and respond to sexual misconduct.
- not charge or represent higher prices for the supply of goods for NDIS participants without a reasonable justification.
I understand that:
- the Code of Conduct applies to my behaviour towards all our consumers including prospective or former consumers and their representatives, family members, carers etc.
- the Code of Conduct applies at all times including outside work hours and when providing care and services away from the premises of Salveo Care PTY Ltd and
- breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in enforcement or compliance action against myself or Salveo Care PTY Ltd.
- Acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to comply with the code by signing the acknowledgement.
