A big move happened April 1st. After 30 years at Green Acres Stables in Madbury, NH, Dawn Dascomb will be moving to 191 North Road East Kingston, NH to continue teaching, boarding and training.. We will have all the lesson horses and same great instructors to make it a fun, educational and memorable summer. The facility is smaller and more manageable offering more time to focus on students and horses. We are looking forward to another fun and educational year. Let your kids enjoy learning about horses and the care involved while unwinding on a horse farm. Daily activities include the care of horses, riding, team building, games and arts and crafts. Please go to the bottom of this page for all the information. Our regular day camp will be Monday through Friday 9-4 . We will be offering specialized camps throughout the summer. IEA Hunt Seat Camp will be running August 12th-August 16th for our new and old IEA riders. Grades 4th-12th for riders cantering and ready to show at least walk trot.

General Program and Schedule
Campers will learn about safety in a barn and around horses. Campers will learn how to handle, groom, tack up a horse and learn basic riding skills. We handle all levels and divide riders up accordingly. The morning ride is a more formal lesson while the afternoon riding session is games, bareback or a trail ride. We have great lesson horses that have been a part of the program for years. Other activities include arts and crafts, outdoor games, water games and general farm fun. Children will learn how to clean a stall and take care of horses. We offer half day and full day hours. We also are flexible as far as days. You do not have to do a complete week. Half day: 9-1 $55.Full day: 9-4 $80. Early drop off is available. Formal riding activities will be done by 3:00 for earlier pick up IEA Hunt Seat Camp week- August 12th-16th will be an intensive and fun week of learning the ropes of IEA if you are new, guest instructors to do mounted and unmounted lessons and team bonding. We will be planning the show season. Groups will be divided up by levels. IEA is for grades 4th-12th for children that are comfortable cantering and ready to step into the show ring. www.rideiea.org
Information
Basics: Please pack your child with a water bottle and snacks and lunch if they are here till 4:00. The kids are busy and usually get very hungry. Please have your child come in the morning dressed for riding- pants, and boots. Bring shorts and sneakers to change into when it's hot. Please send your child with a folding chair to have as their own. If anybody in your house or you have been in contact with has been sick please stay home. We will credit you for those days. We are looking forward to a fun summer. Occasionally we do popsicles, ice cream or other treats. Please talk to the instructor on drop off if there is an issue with your child eating these. If your child has an allergy and has an epi-pen we will need to know where to locate it or we can store it in my desk.
