Betty Dinger was a beloved rockhound from Antrim County, known for her passion for Michigan’s natural resources. She owned the Rock Shop in Clam River and was instrumental in organizing the first Antrim County Petoskey Stone Festival before sadly losing her battle with cancer. To honor her memory, the festival committee established the Annual Betty Dinger Memorial Award, which recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to promoting Michigan’s natural resources, particularly the Petoskey Stone.
This award is presented each year during the festival. We need your help to identify worthy candidates. To nominate someone, please visit our website at www.petoskeystonefestival.com, or email your nomination to info@petoskeystonefestival.com.
Thank you for your support in honoring Betty’s legacy!
