IT'S WESGOLD FELLOWS SEASON! It's 2024 and this summer, we want you to:
Earn, Learn, & Grow as a WesGold Fellow!
We will be visiting schools as early as February and hosting weekly online recruiting sessions beginning in late February. If you are interested in joining a session, please email us at wesgoldfellows@vestedin.org.
Please make sure you read all the information before beginning the application.
This application will take you 20-35 minutes to complete, not including the writing sample.

*Program attendance is mandatory for a certificate of program completion, full summer program credit, certificate of completion, full pay, and $2,000 matching eligibility.
WesGold Fellows Program
WesGold Fellows is an 8-week paid internship and a lifetime association for high school students focused on financial literacy, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
Our interns are taught:
How money works and how to manage it
How business works and how to succeed in it
How to professionally communicate and network effectively
How to leverage their skills, passions, and interests into careers
How to use their power to positively impact their community
Our Fellows are empowered to:
Expand their perspectives
Learn the keys to financial success and earning income
Engage with mentors and professionals from different fields
Discover their college and career interests
Explore the fundamentals of business and entrepreneurship
Our WesGold Fellows also receive and manage a savings account, with matching funds of up to $2,000 available from VestedIn.
The WesGold Fellows program is an all-encompassing experience that empowers our Fellows to become the next generation of leaders who will engage, impact, and grow our economy.

Eligibility
Philadelphia, PA Resident
Preferably a rising junior or senior, but all high school students (14 and over) are encouraged to apply

Essay Questions for Writing Sample
Choose and answer ONE of the following questions. Provide your answer in 1-2 pages, using size 12 font, double space, and upload when requested at the end of the application.
Option 1) Tell us why you are interested in becoming a WesGold Fellow and what you believe you will gain from participating in this program.
Option 2) Tell us why you believe community economic development is important and what role you have had, or would like to have, in such development.
Option 3) Tell us about your social entrepreneurial idea and how you want to positively impact your community.
PYN WorkReady Application
In order to be participate in the WesGold Fellows program, you must complete the WorkReady Application. After you submit your WesGold Fellows application you will receive a link to the WorkReady application. Please note, the PYN application is not available until later in March. We will emaill the link when it becomes available to any candidate who has already submitted a WGF application. Your WGF interview process will not be delayed by PYN's process.
Application & Acceptance
The last day to submit your application is May 15. Interview and acceptance decisions will be released on a rolling basis. We look forward to receiving your application!
