A Repair Cafe is a community event with the goals of keeping items out of landfills, building repair skills & knowledge, and fostering community connectedness.

Please note the following:
1. Participation at this event is by donation.
2. Repairs are performed on a voluntary basis.
3. Visitors offering broken items for repair do so at their own risk.
4. Repair volunteers offer no guarantee for the repairs carried out.
5. Repair volunteers are entitled to refuse to repair certain objects.
6. Repair volunteers are not obliged to reassemble disassembled items.
7. Visitors to Repair Café are solely responsible for the tidy removal of objects that could not be repaired.
After you've registered, a Biosphere staff will be in contact with you by email closer to the event date.

Waiver
I, First Name* Last Name* acknowledge that I will be participating in a free Repair Cafe event, and I hereby agree that I, my personal representatives, heirs, and guests, confirm the following:
1. To release the Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere (herein GBMGB), and any of its representatives and/or staff, and all other entities associated or involved in the organization or staging of events or any other volunteer activities, including, but not limited to, volunteers, third party vendors, all venues in which volunteer activities or segments of volunteer activities are held, and the officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents of any of the above; from any and all claims of any kind and from all liability, costs, losses, damages, or legal fees resulting from injury, death or damage to me or any visitor, or property of any kind, which arises out of or is in any way connected directly or indirectly to my participation in the Repair Cafe, whether caused by GBMGB’s active or passive negligence or otherwise.

2. To protect, hold free and harmless, defend and indemnify GBMGB from any and all claims or demands of any kind and from all liability, penalties, costs, losses, damages, expenses, claims, or judgments resulting from injury, death or damage to any visitor, third parties or property of any kind, which injury, death or damage arises out of or is in any way connected directly or indirectly to my participation in the Repair Cafe, whether caused by GBMGB’s active or passive negligence or otherwise. This indemnity shall include, without limitation, reasonable lawyers’, experts’ and consultants’ fees, investigation costs, and all other reasonable costs incurred by GBMGB.

3. To assume full responsibility for myself, my property, and my guests while participating in the Repair Cafe.
