  • It is essential that potentially harmful new psychoactive substances (NPS) emerging on the recreational drug market are rapidly identified, evaluated and risk assessed.

For unequivocal analytical identification of substances, suitably characterised Reference Materials (RM) are typically required. The lag time in the availability of RM can result in critical delays in legislative and public health responses to substances of concern.

The Eurostars EUFORiaR project aims to address the shortfall in RMs and to shorten RM availability timelines using an established Predictive Parallel Production Platform (4P) synthesis approach and triangulation of substance emergence data from a variety of sources, including customer insights.
