    Neely Farm Swim Team: Coaching Application

    Please complete the form below to apply for a coaching position with us this summer.
  • Thank you for applying to be a coach for the Neely Mallards this summer! 

    Please review the following information carefully before applying. 

    • Application deadline: Monday, March 24, 2025 
    • References: You must submit two (2) references
    • Age Requirements:
      • Assistant and Junior Coach applicants must be 15 or older by May 1, 2025
      • CIT applicants must be 14 or older by May 1, 2025 
    • Coaches' Certification & Background Checks
      • 18 & Older - If you are hired, you must complete a league provided background check and coaches' certification course  before the season begins on May 5, 2025. Both of these are paid for by the Atlanta Swim Association and are at no cost to you. 
        • If you were a coach in 2023 or 2024, your coaching certification form is still valid and you do not need to retake the test. However, you must retake the background check.
      • 17 & Under - If you are hired, you must complete only the coaches' certification course before the season begins on May 5, 2025. This course is paid for by the Atlanta Swim Association and will be at no cost to you. Background checks are not required. 
        • If you were a coach in 2023 or 2024, your coaching certification form is still valid and you do not need to retake the test. 

    When selecting a coaching position below, please ensure you meet these guidelines before applying: 


    Assistant Coach Responsibilities 

    • Coach 3/4 of the morning practices
      • If you compete, you will practice with your age group
    • Coach at least 1-2 afternoon practices 
    • Coach at least 1 Saturday stroke clinic
    • Help with writing the meet lineup
    • Help organize and support assigned junior and CIT coaches
    • Assist with the meet lineup
    • Helping organize kids at the meet (each coach gets a lane)
    • In charge of a level of ducklings
    • Assist at ASA Championship
    • Cannot miss more than one (1) week
      • Coaches will only be paid for the days they work and does not include absences. Time can be made up by working additional practices.

    Junior Coach Responsibilities

    • Assist the Assistant Coaches with Ducklings 
    • Help organize kids at the meet (on the opposite end of the lane for relays)
    • Assist at ASA Championship at Georgia Tech
    • Help organize kids at the meet
    • Assist at all of the Thursday practices & mark athlete's meet information (Event, Heat, Lane)
    • Cannot miss more than one (1) week
      • Coaches will only be paid for the days they work and does not include absences. Time can be made up by working additional practices.

    Coaches in Training (CIT) Responsibilities 

    • Assist with Ducklings
    • Assist at all Thursday practices & mark athlete's meet information (Event, Heat, Lane) 
    • Help organize kids at meets

  • After you click the "Submit" button, your application has been processed. All applications are due by Monday, March 24, 2025. The Neely Swim Team Board will review all applications and contact you with a decision by the first week of April.
