Thank you for expressing interest in becoming a Summer Staffer at Latham Springs! You will have an unforgettable opportunity to experience serving God first hand. You will enjoy fellowship with other believers, have the opportunity to make lifelong friendships, and share in the building of God’s kingdom!
We are committed to providing our guests with the best possible experience. As a Summer Staffer, you are the feet of this camp and help make it move!
Being on staff, you are expected to maintain a level of professionalism in which you will be trained as well as a warm, friendly smile to help guests feel welcomed and have a life altering experience. We strive for a Christ-like attitude, including actions and words, in all scenarios. You must be able to show respect to any guest or other employee that you come in contact with. This same level of respect will be given to you as well.
Being a Summer Staffer is very physical. You will experience long hours in the hot, Texas, summer sun. Your job responsibilities will include facilitating recreation sites, running concession stand, meal service and clean up, cleaning cabins after each group leaves, and aiding in minor facilities projects as needed. These jobs are essential for a smooth camp experience for the students and adults coming to camp. Our recreation activities include ropes course and zip line, gel ball and bazooka ball, lifeguarding at the pool or waterfront, fishing, and boating. Lifeguard and ropes course certifications are FREE OF CHARGE for staffers committing a whole summer.
But what’s the point? At the end of the day, we want to see God move in the lives of individuals who come to camp for His glory. Last summer 10,991 campers rolled through our gates, with 846 of those made first time professions of faith in Jesus Christ! This means before they came to Latham Springs, they had no idea where they would spend eternity, or what it meant to walk in relationship with Jesus. This is why we do summer camp, and without Summer Staffers, there would be no summer camps at Latham Springs.
