Tasting Station Agreement
As a public charity, Fox Valley Hands of Hope (FVHH) is responsible for carefully documenting and protecting the investment of our donor dollars. Entering into written agreements with our suppliers allows FVHH to meet these obligations and ensure that there is clear understanding regarding responsibilities and insurance at FVHH events.
1. The Event: Below are the details of the FVHH event you have agreed to support. Cuisine for a Cause is taking place on April 26, 2026, 4-7pm at The Venue @ Goebbert's, 42W813 Reinking Road, Pingree Grove, IL .
2. Your Commitment:
- Tasting-size portions (2-4 oz.) of a signature dish or dessert, with enough servings for 500 guests. (Note: Hosts are responsible for all costs related to their item(s)).
- Equipment necessary to prepare, heat/chill & serve your food, display materials, and decorations for the table.
- Disposable plates or bowls, and cutlery needed
- Staff member(s) to staff the station and serve guests at the event.
Fox Valley Hands of Hope will provide:
- (1) 8 ft table w/ linens & 2 chairs (an extra table may be requested)
- Access to power upon request (standard 110 outlets only)
- Tabletop signage
- Recognition on the FVHH web site and at the event
3. Hold Harmless:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you will indemnify, defend and hold harmless Fox Valley Hands of Hope and its employees, officers, directors, agents, subcontractors, volunteers, donors, successors and assigns from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, exposure, costs and expenses including attorney’s fees and other expenses of litigation, arising out of, resulting from, or in any way connected or associate with your commitment set forth in above, including, without limitation, bodily injury or death, or damage to property, including loss of use.
4. Insurance:
If you are a company, you will maintain insurance coverage of at least One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) for personal, advertising, property damage, and bodily injury and contractual liability arising out of each occurrence, and not less than Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000) for aggregate claims during a twelve (12) month period or your standard insurance policy limits, whichever is greater. If you are an individual, you will maintain the appropriate insurance (such as medical, property, automobile, or recreation vehicle) necessary to cover any damages, expenses, losses, or costs that may result in your commitment or your performance of this agreement. Proof of insurance coverage will be provided to FVHH upon this request.
5. Miscellaneous:
The term of this agreement will expire on the first day following completion of your commitment specified above; provided, however, that the obligations specified in point 2 will survive the termination or expiration of this Agreement. You may not assign or subcontract this Agreement without the prior written consent of FVHH. This Agreement will be binding on the parties’ successors, assigns, and heirs. This Agreement will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, excluding its principles of conflicts of law. The parties acknowledge that the obligations in this agreement are intended to be as broad and inclusive as is allowed by law and that if any portion is held invalid the remaining will continue in full legal force and effect.
