The Dr. Edward N. Prather Summer Bridge Scholars Program began in 1988, and it is part of an eleven institutional alliance funded by the National Science Foundation with the goal of increasing the number of underrepresented ethnic students who earn STEM degrees in Ohio. Students admitted to designated STEM majors in Arts & Sciences, Allied Health, and College of Engineering and Applied Science are invited to participate in a six-week community building program designed to assist students in reaching their goal of academic excellence and graduation
