Event hours-
Saturday, May 31 – 10am to 7pm
Sunday, June 1 – 11am to 5pm.
For the purpose of participation we have defined groups in the following ways-
• Arts Organizations- Some samples- the DIA, the Scarab Club, Art in Motion.
The primary focus is to educate or to promote the arts. These groups may participate without a fee if they do NOT sell anything and they operate a continuous arts/craft activity for our attendees throughout the art fair. Sales of memberships and future workshops / classes are permitted. Tents and tables are available for a small fee.
• Coops, Collectives, Galleries and Guilds- Some examples include Silversmith Guild, Detroit Art Teachers Association, cooperative galleries...
Groups of artists working together to learn, sell or promote each other and the arts. Participation is at a reasonable fee and can include display equipment and tents if needed. Only group members may participate and no one artist may take up more than one third of the space in the booth. (Those wanting a larger space should apply as an individual juried artist)
• Informal Arts Groups- Groups of friends that would like to share space. Perfect for those who don't have enough art ready to sell for an entire 10x10.
A small group of artists desiring to share a space, mostly because they are starting out or do not have the ability to individually staff or fill an artist's booth.
RESTRICTIONS- Everything sold at the show must be art that has been made individually or collectively by members of the group. Limited edition and signed prints are encouraged. Open edition printed items may only be included if agreed to in advance. No imported, buy/sell, t-shirts or mass produced items.
