Starting Pay:
• $22.00 to $ 25.00 per hour

Qualifications:
• Driving: 5 years (Required)
• Driver’s License (Required)
• NC Instructor’s License
(80 hours driver instructor course taught by the DMV) (Required)
• All driver-training educators must have specific training pass a N.C. DMV written test and be supervised prior to recommendation.
• Must be able to teach a two-week (30 hours) classroom virtual or in-person.
• Must be 25 years of age or older.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare lessons tailored to student’s needs.
• Teach students about the safety of operation a motor vehicle.
• Provide instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle and on-road regulations.
• Teach practical skills related to all aspects of driving.
• Help students develop confidence in their driving skills.
• Gain control of the vehicle during emergency situations.
• Calm students who are in distress.
• Document and report on student’s progress.
• Report ALL accidents to the school immediately.
