  • Software Development Checklist

  • We will cover some of the basic, but often overlooked, areas when embarking on a new journey to find a system and a developer to work with.

Once you have jotted down some responses to each area, we will then email you a copy of what you've said so that you can easily share your checklist with colleagues, or potential developers, so you can get moving faster!

  • Project Management

These are some of the key areas you should think about in terms of actually managing the implementation of a new system.
  • 💡 In our experience, we've found that projects who are managed by one person in the business are delivered faster, as there is no time lost on incorrect requirements being provided.

  • 💡 It's important that you think about how much you can invest in your new system, as this will determine what options are feasible and prevent you wasting your time on systems that will never work for you.

  • Requirements

It is important to really think about what it is that you need your new system to do. Here, we've given you space to think about three "Essential" and three "Desirable" requirements. This is just to get you started, and you should continue to build on these.
  • 💡 Essential Requirement = this is a requirement that you must have in your system in order for your business to operate.

  • 💡 Desirable Requirement = this is a requirement that you would like to have in your system, but you can work without it for now. These requirements will likely add value to your business and streamline your processes more.
