Camp Kendellhurst 2024 Program Offerings
Camp Details:

Each camp day runs from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Camp drop-off is 8:45-9:00 am. Camps consist of theme-based fun activities.

Note: The below camps are for campers who have completed Grade One or further as of June, 2024. For external Kindergarten registration, please contact Mrs. Zhang. Internal Kindergarten students continue in their program until Friday, August, 23rd, 2024.

Kendellhurst Academy Summer Camp Meal Program

We are introducing a summer camp lunch meal program which will include lunch with beverage and afternoon snack. An order form must be completed and returned to Organic Kids Catering. Please contact daycare@organickidscatering.com.

For the program the cost will be $14.95 per day plus hst. The total for the week is $72.66. The program is similar to our lunch offering during the school year. As well Fridays are pizza days therefore not included but we have included pricing for the afternoon snack for those weeks.

There is a commitment of 1 week at a time starting July 2nd. Upon receipt of our order form, we will email you back concerning the total amounts and payment information that is to be provided to us by June 28th 2024. If you commit to the whole summer program there will be 15% discount applied.

Boundless opportunities await to create various types of slime and gooey experiments, each demonstrating different scientific principles like viscosity, polymers and chemical reactions. Through these activities, campers will learn about the Scientific Method, develop problem-solving skills and cultivate a deeper curiousity for the natural world. Ooey Gooey Science Camp is about exploring science in a messy and fun way!

Week 3 - July 15 - 19: Baker’s Dozen (Grades 1 - 6)$250.00CAD

On this sweet culinary journey, campers will learn the art and science of baking. They will explore ingredients, measurement and baking techniques while creating a variety of delicious sweet treats. Decorating cakes, cookies and other treats will allow little pastry chefs to express their creativity and attention to detail. By compiling recipes into cookbooks and organizing recipe cards, campers will also develop organization and planning skills. Get your sweet tooth ready!

Young carpenters will learn essential woodworking skills to create practical and artistic projects using popsicle sticks. From birdhouses to picture frames, campers will explore design, construction and decorating techniques gaining confidence in their ability to work with tools and materials. Young sports enthusiasts will receive comprehensive training in various sports, including learning the rules of games, building strategy and honing athletic skills. Through drills, scrimmages and mini-tournaments, campers develop teamwork, sportsmanship and physical endurance. Week 6 - August 6 - 9: Net Games Sports Camp (Grades 1 - 6)$200.00CAD

This camp focusses on sports played with nets such as badminton and volleyball. Campers are required to bring their own tennis and badminton rackets for this camp. Campers will learn the rules, strategies and tactics specific to each sport. Campers will also learn the importance of teamwork and communication on the court. Through scrimmages and mini-tournaments, the thrill of competition is experienced while developing sportsmanship and physical fitness. Go team!

Week 7 - August 12 - 16: The Greatest Showman - Theatre Arts (Grades 1 - 6)$250.00CAD

Young performers will enact a variety of activities exploring the world of theatre. Through imagination and storytelling, campers will learn to express themselves creatively via movement and music exercises. Camper will develop physical coordination and presentation skills to become the Greatest Showman! Scripted and impromptu works, including playwriting cultivate campers confidence and improvisational skills. Blocking and stage presentation techniques will show campers how to effectively use space and convey ideas. Character development and the basics of musical theatre provide an introductory to intermediate understanding of theatrical performance. The Greatest Showman Camp will pack the house with fun and laughter!

It’s a taste of Italy! Campers seize the opportunity to immerse themselves in Italian cuisine and culture, learning to cook traditional dishes.
