Camper Behavior Expectations Campers are expected to contribute to a safe camp environment, using respectful language and appropriate physical behavior. We expect campers to function in a group setting in a positive and cooperative manner that displays tolerance and respect for self and others. Campers must comply with instructions from instructors and refrain from behaviors that pose a risk to self or others. We will use "inside voices," walk throughout the Tinworks Art site, and refrain from touching artworks unless otherwise invited to do so.
We will not tolerate any violence, possession of weapons or drugs, sexual misconduct, vandalism, bullying or threatening of other campers, fighting, or any action that could pose a direct threat to the physical/emotional safety of the child, other children, and staff. If after a reasonable amount of time and effort has been made to redirect a camper's behavior, the individual may be asked to forgo the summer camp experience without a refund. Please leave all electronics at home or inside your camper's backpack. This includes cell phones, game devices, and ”smart” watches. Tinworks Art staff reserves the right to dismiss disruptive campers or those with significant behavioral difficulties, refunds in this instance will not be given. Absences will not be refunded.
COVID & Health Protocols Please use good judgment and refrain from sending your camper if they are sick. Campers learn better and enjoy activities more when they are feeling well. If a camper becomes sick or is injured during camp we will contact you to pick them up.
Do not send your child to camp if they have:
- A Fever >100.4 F in the last 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.
- Vomiting or Diarrhea in the last 24 hours.
- Frequent hard uncontrolled coughing.
- Cold symptoms including persistent nasal congestion, reddened eyes, sore throat, headache and cough.
- Generally not feeling well.
- Eye inflammation or discharge
- Unexplained skin rash that is new and has not been diagnosed by a health care provider.
- Chicken pox rash, until all blisters have dried up and crusted over.
- Any communicable disease in which you have been advised to remain out of school until cleared by your healthcare provider or the local health department.
COVID is still with us and Tinworks Art will take measures to reduce transmission of this virus including frequent washing of hands, providing adequately ventilated areas, doing activities outside, and asking students who have been exposed or are sick to stay home. We will follow CDC guidelines regarding isolation and return to children's programs. At this time, Tinworks Art does not require campers to wear masks during instruction, but those who chose to do so will be welcome. We reserve the right to change this policy based on virus transmission updates.
