  • VBEA '24 Summer Conference Call for Presenters

  • The 2024 Virginia Business Education Association Conference will be held in Charlottesville, Virginia on July 22 - 24, 2024.

    This year's theme is: "VBEA - Activating Innovation"

    We hope to gather a wide variety of proposals from organizations and individuals including employers and practitioners from the public and private sectors, non-profits, educators at K-12 schools and institutions of higher education, research centers, and training and certification providers.

    Please submit your proposal for a session at the conference by March 25, 2024.

    The selection committee may edit titles and descriptions, suggest alternative formats, and/or encourage joint presentations for proposals submitted on similar topics. Thank you for your willingness to share! Accepted presenters will be notified as soon as possible after the proposals are received.


  • We are looking for a wide variety of session topics. Past conference attendees have requested sessions on:

    • Curriculum ranging from Accounting to Cybersecurity
    • Professional topics like Classroom Management and Work-Based Learning Resources
    • Personal topics such as Self-Care, Preparing for Retirement and everything in between.
  • The title of your session is the first impression for Conference Attendees. Use a concise, but inclusive, title which clearly conveys what you will be presenting and draws attendees' attention to your topic.

  • Proposals must specify one of the three session types described below:

    Technology Sessions are three-hour sessions which provide hands-on instruction on the use of actual hardware and/or software applications. Demonstrations are designed for audiences of 25-30.   Presenters must provide their own laptop and projectors; screens will be provided in each room. (Technology Sessions occur on July 22, 23 and 24)


    Concurrent Sessions are one-hour sessions presented in a variety of methods including lesson plan sharing, product overviews, share fair, etc. These one-hour sessions are intended for audiences of 30-40; presenters must supply their own media (laptop and projector); screens will be provided in each room. (Concurrent Sessions occur on July 22, 23, and 24)


    Mini Tech Sessions are one and half-hour sessions which provide hands-on instruction on the use of actual hardware and/or software applications. Demonstrations are designed for audiences of 25-30.   Presenters must provide their own laptop and projectors; screens will be provided in each room. (Mini Tech Sessions occur on July 22, 23, and 24)
