IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AGE REQUIREMENTS:

Under the current USA softball age guidelines, the Mercer County Girls Fastpitch Softball League has adopted the August 31st, 2025 date to determine age eligibility for the 2025/2026 season. If you have a question of what age group your daughter should be in you can check at the USA Softball website below or reach out to a HGSA Board member. USA Softball Age Calculator

Player Registration Fee:

$65 per player/ $100 for two or more

Concession Check Fee:

$100 per player concession check

(The check is held and will be returned to you once you have fulfilled your one concession shift per player. If you do not work, your check will be cashed at the end of the season)

We are in great need of concession volunteers to head up running concessions. Please mark on the form where it asks if you have interest in running concessions.

Yearly Required Fundraising:

There are no fundraisers planned however, HGSA may determine the need to hold a fundraiser at a later date should the need arise. A buyout option will be available for those that wish to not participate.

NEW THIS SEASON- ALL PLAYERS WILL ATTEND SKILLS ASSESSMENT:

This season, we will transition into a complete redraft for all teams on a yearly basis. All players will be assesed and drafted to a team. March 8th 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. More information to come with times for each age group.

***If registering online- you will pay the $65 registration fee at that time online via paypal or venmo

***If you choose to pay by check or cash you can bring the $65 registration fee to the in person sign ups or make arrangements personally with Stephanie.

***$100 concessions deposit (must be a check) will be due the first week of practice to head coaches.

MOVING UP AN AGE DIVISION EARLY STATEMENT I understand that players looking to move up an age division early MUST attend the skills assessment for the division they want to move up to in order to evaluate if they have the fundamentals and skills to do so. IF there is still room on the rosters after all age-appropriate players are drafted, then the player may be considered. HGSA Managers, Coaches, and Board Members want to create the best environment for ALL girls to get the most out of their experience. It is a priority to keep a manageable number of girls on each team. This will hopefully give all age-appropriate players in a division the best opportunity to receive instruction and maximize playing time to develop confidence and provide more quality reps to develop their skills while allowing opportunities, when possible, to challenge and promote advanced skill development. I have read the above and understand there is no guarantee of a player moving up early.*

LIABILITY RELEASE FORM I/We, the parent(s) or guardian(s) of the above named candidate for a roster spot on a Hermitage Girls Softball Association team, acknowledge and fully understand that she will be participating in activities that involve risk of serious or life threatening injury which might result not only from the child's own actions, but also interactions with, and/ or negligence of, other players, the general actions of playing softball, and the conditions of the premises or of any equipment used. I/We understand that protective equipment does not prevent all injuries to players. In consideration of the child being allowed to participate in any way with this softball organization (HGSA) and any and all related activities, including lodging and travel, I/We and our agents and/or undersigns, unconditionally release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue, and hereby agree to hold harmless this softball organization, its officers, board members, coaches, or volunteers of the organization, and lessees of the premises used to conduct the events, from any and all liablility for any and all claims, demands, losses, or damages on account of injury, damage to property, caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by the negligence of the releasee or otherwise.I/We also understand that our/my child can be removed from the related activities by the coaches for unsportsmanlike conduct, immoral activity, unethical play, drug or alcohol abuse, and any other activities that are not construed to be in the best interest of the team or any of its players. CONCESSIONS OBLIGATION I understand a $100 concession check is required for each registered player. This/these check(s) WILL NOT BE CASHED and will be returned to me upon completion of required concession shift(s). If I choose to not sign up and work required concession shift(s) or have an adult (18 or older) family member work the shift on my behalf my check(s) will be cashed after the completion of the last home game of the 2026 season.
