The new FAFSA form requires ALL CONTRIBUTORS to have an FSA ID. What does this mean?
- Contributors include the STUDENT and at least one PARENT. To determine if your parent is a contributor and needs an FSA ID, click here.
- You must have successfully created your FSA IDs before attending a FAFSA workshop; otherwise, you will be unable to complete the form.

The FSA ID can take up to 3 days to verify after you create your account. To ensure you are able to submit your section of the FAFSA form, make your FSA ID at least 3 days prior to your expected submission date.
