    What is Nutritional Kinesiology?

In medical practice there are two key parts: the diagnosis (identifying and/or naming the “disease” or syndrome) and the treatment (drugs, surgery, etc.). However, in Nutritional Kinesiology we do not diagnose or treat disease, but we also have two parts: the evaluation and the personalized nutritional therapy program. Simply put, we start with an evaluation and then design a natural nutritional therapy program to support your body’s innate ability to handle what we find in that evaluation.

    Part One: The Evaluation

The evaluation is completed by testing the body’s own neurological reflexes, also called acupressure points. These reflexes are the part of the nervous system responsible for regulating our body functions. They are specific topical points on the body that energetically relate to the underlying organs and systems within the body. The reflex (acupressure) points are selected from the ancient Chinese system of acupuncture which is thousands of years old. Since the human anatomy hasn’t changed significantly in thousands of years, the utilization of these specific points is extremely useful in our practice because they are very accurate!

Nutritional Kinesiology is a study of how the different reflex points on the surface of the body relate to the body’s internal well-being. In other words, it evaluates the flow of energy throughout the body which represents the body’s internal state of health. Each Nutritional Kinesiology reflex point corresponds to a specific organ, tissue or function and indicates the effect that energy, or lack of energy, is having on the body. By testing the Nutritional Kinesiology reflexes, we have a non-invasive system of monitoring your state of health which is proven to be extremely accurate clinically and helps us identify exactly what the body needs and how well we are meeting that need.
