You’re about to pop a delicious pack of biscuits into your cart. But first, do you peek at the label and check for sources of unsustainable palm oil?
*
This field is required.
Always! No sneaky palm oil escapes my notice.
Often, but I’m not a label detective every single time.
Sometimes, if I remember amidst the biscuit excitement.
Nope. It's all about the biscuit craving!

You're in the fresh fruit and veg section faced with a choice: lemons in a plastic net bag or loose lemons. What's your pick
?
*
This field is required.
I always go for the loose lemons and use my own bag (or no bag). Those nets are a no-go for me!
Mostly loose lemons, but if I'm in a rush that grab n’ go net bag can be tempting.
I often end up with the net bag – it's just quicker, though I've tried loose lemons a few times.
I usually grab the net bag. It's handy and keeps the lemons together.

You've got dinner leftovers from a sumptuous feast. What’s your go-to move?
*
This field is required.
Whip out my trusty set of reusable containers, compostable bags and washable covers.
I usually reach for the reusables, with some single-use slip-ups here and there.
I occasionally use reusables… that is if I can find all the matching lids.
Straight to cling film, single-use zipper bags and foil. Convenience calls!

You're in the tea aisle shopping for a new blend. How likely are you to check for certifications or signs of a fair and ethical supply chain?
*
This field is required.
Always! I make a point to know the company’s practices because every cuppa should promote fair labour.
Often I do a quick check for the Fairtrade mark or similar certifications.
Sometimes, if it's mentioned prominently on the pack.
Rarely. It's more about the flavour and price for me.

It's a chilly morning and only a hearty bowl of porridge will do. Do you open your press to be greeted by an array of bulk-bought ingredients like oats, dried fruit and nuts?
*
This field is required.
Absolutely! My pantry is a bulk-buy haven, stocked with large containers of porridge essentials.
Usually I try to buy in bulk, but sometimes I go for regular packages if it's more convenient.
Sometimes, especially if there's a good deal. But I often end up with standard retail sizes for ease.
I mostly go for smaller packages. They’re quicker and I don't have to provide my own containers or figure out how to store large quantities.

You're shopping for a new body lotion. Do you inspect the label for petrochemicals before making a decision?
*
This field is required.
Always on my radar! I keep a running list of their sneaky names.
Frequently. I know the major offenders to look out for.
Sometimes, but not always. Particularly if I’m in a hurry.
Petro-who now? Doesn’t really cross my mind.

You’re writing out your weekly shopping list. About what percentage of products are made by Irish producers?
*
This field is required.
At least 50% – my list is a tribute to Irish producers!
Around 25% – I actively look for Irish products but haven’t found the equivalent for some of my staples.
Less than 25% – I include a few local items, but there’s definitely room to grow.
No idea – I don’t really focus on the origin of products.

It's a sunny day at the beach when you realise you're parched but you've forgotten your reusable water bottle. The only option nearby is to buy a single-use plastic bottle. In moments like these, where convenience and need clash with sustainability, how do you react?
*
This field is required.
I cheer for my wins and learn from the rest. It’s a journey!
I strive for balance and try (but not always successfully) to go easy on myself when there’s the occasional slip-up.
I feel quite guilty when I don’t make sustainable choices, even though it's hard to always be on top of everything.
Honestly, sustainability isn’t a big factor in my daily choices.
