University of Northern Iowa High School Campus Visit

The Who, The What, The When and The Where

TRIO Talent Search will be visiting the University of Northern lowa on Wednesday, Thursday April 15, 2026. All high school students (grades 9-12) are invited to attend with priority going to upperclassmen (grades 11-12). Students who have missing work, behavioral incidents, or bad grades may not be selected to participate. ALL PRIORS MUST BE COMPLETED TO ATTEND!

We will make the following stops: 
Corning (west side of high school)-  Pick Up Time 5:30am, Drop Off Time 4:15pm
Creston(SWCC campus-Tech 1 building)- Pick Up Time 6:00am, Drop Off Time 3:45pm
Osceola (AmericInn Hotel parking lot)- Pick Up Time 6:45am, Drop Off Time 3:000pm

How To Attend
Students and parents need to complete and sign this Campus Visit Form. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Limited space available. Trips are on a first come, first serve basis. Priority will be given to upperclassmen (grades 11 & 12). Spots are limited, so sign up ASAP! 

Once you turn in your permission form, you will receive a confirmation post card in the mail, if you do not receive a confirmation postcard that means we did not receive your permission form. 

PLEASE NOTE: TRIO TS will be getting permission from your school official for you to attend and will notify you if you are denied.

About The Trip
Students participating in the trip will tour the campus, tour the dorms, learn about the admissions process and have lunch at a on-campus dining center. We will board the bus to leave campus at approximately 12:30pm. If we are running off schedule, cell phones will be available for students to notify their parents of updated arrival/return times.

Other Information
School rules apply to this trip. Students should wear comfortable clothing, walking shoes and a coat or jacket. The University of Northern lowa is a walking campus and we will be outside the majority of the day. No short shorts, short skirts, baggy pants, baggy jeans or tank tops will be allowed. Absolutely no foul or derogatory language will be allowed at any time. Students will not be allowed to smoke or vaping. Failure to comply with any of these rules will result in dismissal from the trip and parents will be contacted to pick up the student from our location.

Please make sure to be on time for Pick Up and Drop Off of students as we have a very tight schedule to keep.

THIS FORM IS PENDING APPROVAL FROM YOUR SCHOOL OFFICIAL.

AGREEMENT
I hereby release all employees of SOUTHWESTERN COMMUNITY COLLEGE and the local school system of any liability connected with any personal injury, which may occur at the above mentioned event AND if my student isn't picked up at the designated time and location, they may be left unattended until I arrive.
