Thank you for applying for the Inland Valley Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Scholarship. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must meet the eligibility criteria listed below and submit all required materials by the deadline.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. Earned a 2.5 or better on a 4.0 scale or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale
2. Residency within IVAC's service area*
3. An African American Senior graduating from a high school within IVAC's service area*
4. Must be willing to participate in the interview process.

REQUIRED APPLICATION MATERIALS:
1. A completed online application form
2. Two letters of recommendation (select from sources listed below):
a. high school counselor or teacher
b. non-profit agency that you have performed community service work within the last two years
c. an individual who is familiar with your accomplishments
3. Official transcript emailed to: ivacscholarship@gmail.com
4. A typed personal essay: The essay should not exceed three (3) pages. This is your opportunity to explain your educational and career goals to the committee. Please include information such as: how this award will help you financially in reaching your potential goals. How do you plan on sharing your academic success throughout your community?

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS & DEADLINE:
Completed application packets must be submitted by 11:59pm, Friday, March 29, 2024.

Scholarship receipients must submit an acceptance letter to an accredited four year college or university before award distribution.

* The Inland Valley Alumnae Chapter service area are the cities of: Eastvale, Corona, Fontana, Rialto, Moreno Valley, Jurupa Valley, Highland, Hesperia, Rancho Cucamonga, Beaumont, Chino, Chino Hills, Norco and Redlands.
