Worcester City Council has published a draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) for public consultation. The plans and information on display at Guildhall outline the main points of the SPD which is designed to shape and inform the future development of the Shrub Hill Quarter.

The SPD consists of a number of chapters covering key design principles of Green Spine, Open Spaces & Connectivity, Accessibility, Viewshafts & Heritage Features, Mixing Uses Freely and Building Blocks & Marker Buildings. It also suggests how development may be laid out in the individual Character Areas of Lower Yard, the Station, Bus Depot, the Upper Yard and the Retail Park as well as providing an Illustrative Master Plan for the Quarter which takes account of these design principles.
