    In completing your taxes, one of the first things we need is good data. This will ensure your best end result!

    • Since you are providing your own income/expense data to us, we need to ensure your data meets our required standard for your tax return filing.
    • Incomplete books or inaccurate data adds to your preparation time and WILL add more cost in preparing your tax return.
    • Please Read and Review the following SEVEN statements about your books before sending your documentation.
    • If your books do not meet the standard that is required by the IRS for us to proceed, we will request that you correct necessary items before proceeding.

  • IRS Requirements for Expenses: Cell Phone

  • Cell Phone Expense Reporting

    The IRS requires some additional details about your cell phone expense.

    • Family Plans: If the business pays the cell phone expense, you will need to make a NON-DEDUCTIBLE allocation for the family use of this plan. Use the box below for your entry.
    • Personal Use: If you do not have an additional phone line (landline) or separate cell plan for personal use, the IRS requires you to allocate a percentage to personal use of your total cell phone expense. Use the box below for your entry.

  • IRS Requirements for Expenses: Internet

  • Internet Expense Reporting

    The IRS requires some additional details about your home internet expense.

    • Personal Use: Internet used at your home can be a percentage business deduction, assuming business use. However, the IRS will require you to make an allocation for personal use as well. A time allocation of business vs. personal would be appropriate.
    • Bundled Plans: If you have your internet Bundled with other services you will need to break out the cost of the internet as a separate expense.
