Falcons Cheerleading Rules
Uniform/Dress Code:
1. For practices or squad events/meetings, please be modest and remember that your body is the Temple of God. This means no showing bra straps, cleavage, short-shorts, or extremely tight or revealing clothing. All practice shorts must have compression shorts worn under them. NO yoga pants/shorts and no biker type shorts at any practice. Compression shorts mustbe worn under uniforms. Not wearing compression shorts will result in not being able to participate in practice and/or the game.
2. Maintain a lady-like position & posture while in uniform and representing the Falcons.
3. Fingernails must be cut short, to ensure safety for the rest of the squad during stunts.
4. Hair needs to be of natural color; no color dyes. Natural, "normal", highlights are okay, but roots must match the rest of your hair.
5. No jewelry or gum at practices or games for safety during stunts.
Behavior: 1.Appropriate behavior is expected between cheerleaders & players. Treat them as your brothers in Christ. No public display of affection: this would include hugs, hand holding, etc. at any Falcon function!!! 2. No gossip, slander, cursing, or inappropriate language toward or about each other. 3. While we cannot monitor social media, please remember that you represent Christ and your behavior on social media reflects the Falcons. Please make sure what you are posting is kind and in line with the core values of the Falcons. 4. Be Encouraging & Kind! 5. No use of cell phones or other electronic devices during practices or games, unless approved by a coach (or it is an emergency 6. Do your best to be early to all practices and games. If you are going to be late for any reason, please text your Head Coach AND Cheer Director, Stephanie Myska $12.739.7988 We really appreciate it! 7.If you are having problems with another cheerleader, please bring it to her first, then a coach, not to another cheerleader.
Practices: 1. Arrive early. If you miss practice, you might not be able to cheer or stunt at that weeks game. 2. Please use the restroom before practice begins. 3. If you don't like the grass, please bring a yoga mat or beach towel to sit on. 4. Varsity and Middle school must bring 1 gallon of water; Dainties need 1/2 gallon of water. If you do not have water, you cannot practice.
Games: 1. Please use the restroom before a game or at half time, unless approved by a coach. 2. Must be on time. If you are more than 10 mins late you will be sitting out the 1*t gtr. If you miss stunt warm-ups, you and your stunt group will not be doing stunts that whole game. 3. Be kind to the visiting/opposing team and cheerleaders. 4. Hair must be pulled back in a ponytail(s), braid(s), or a bun at games with appropriate bow. 5. No fingernail polish at games unless it is a clear coat or a French tip for uniform appearance. Also, please do not write on your hands or legs at games. 6. Please limit conversations with parents, friends, or the crowd while cheering for the team. 7. Smile & Have Fun!
General Information: 1. For absences due to illness, please notify the Cheer Director, Stephanie Myska (512.739.7988) AND your Head Coach ASAP. 2. If a cheerleader is injured, she is still required to attend games and practice to support the squad even though she is unable to cheer herself.
