  • Request Remote Interpretation Support

    Please fill out the below form to request interpretation support for remote interpreting assignments that you have NOT previously scheduled with Team Jamii.
  • Interpretation Request Guidelines

    For Monthly Contract Fam:

    • Interpreting requests require notice of 5 working days (e.g., Mon - Fri)
    • Last-minute interpreting requests will NOT incur a rush fee, but are not guaranteed with less than 5 working days notice.
    • Interpreting assignments can be staffed Monday - Friday (Saturday assignments may be accommodated for special events. Sunday assignments are not available.)
    • CANCELLATION: 48-hour notice required - Interpreting events that are cancelled or postponed with less than 48-hours notice will still be invoiced at 100% of the total cost for the project. Otherwise, you may cancel at any time prior to 48-hours. NOTE: A $100 administrative fee for the team’s time in processing your request may still apply.

    For Ad hoc Fam:  

    • Interpreting requests require notice of 7 working days (e.g., Mon - Fri)
    • A 20% rush fee applies to last-minute interpreting requests that require service delivery within less than 7 working days (Mon - Fri) and the 50% down-payment will be due immediately.
    • CANCELLATION: 48-hour notice required - Interpreting events that are cancelled or postponed with less than 48-hours notice will still be invoiced at 100% of the total cost for the project. Otherwise, you may cancel at anytime prior to 48-hours and receive a refund. NOTE: A $100 administrative fee for the team’s time in processing your request may still apply.

    REMINDER: Interpreting events with three or more languages will be assigned an additional tech support team member. Tech support for bilingual events (2 languages) may be supported by an interpreter or an additional team member depending on event needs.

    Max. 4 additional events per form submission
  • For each additional event we will need the following information. Please include what you already have and we will be in contact for whatever is missing. 

    • Name and description of each event
    • Date (day, day of the week, month, time, time zone)
    • Languages Needed
    • Language(s) facilitation will occur in
    • Details for the lead contact for this event (This is the person that interpreters and linguist tech support can reach out to DURING the event if there are any issues regarding speed, sound etc.)
    • Zoom links for each event (If your event is not via zoom, relevant information to access the platform you plan on using)
    • Any and all documents/presentation materials that can support interpreters preperation. We love first drafts - the quicker we can get it to interpreters the bettter. This includes: agendas, run-of-show, presentation slides, scripts, any written documentation that will be read out loud etc.
    • Names of panelists, presenters, organizations and their phonetic pronounciation
    • Important intersectionalities and/or cultural competencies for each event (i.e. Black Diaspora, Gender-neutral language, LGBTQ+, Deaf Community, etc.)
    • Links to any videos that will be shown
      Links to any websites being referenced or can provide important background information
