  • Before you begin:

    FIRST: This is an application to be filled out prayerfully. I recommend you take some time now, before you begin, to be still before the Lord and pray. SECOND: If you have not yet, please go to TheEtceteras.org and read the entire "About" page.
  • How to answer the questions:

    The right way to answer these questions is not to give the most “correct” answer, but rather the most honest one. This application is a good introduction to the training. I am not looking for perfection, but I am looking for effort, honesty, and vulnerability. To be made strong, you must be aware of where you are weak. IMPORTANT: If you are accepted to The Etceteras, and are later found to have been dishonest or intentionally misleading on your application, you will be sent home.
  • There is a minimum level of physical fitness required for acceptance into The Etceteras training. Each man must be able to complete the following:

    • 2 Mile Run: under 20 min. (can be done on a treadmill)
    • Pushups: 40 without breaking form in under 2 min. (FORM: body kept straight, chest or nose within 1 inch of the ground each rep.)
    • Pullups: 6 without leaving the bar in under 1 min. (FORM: no kipping, palm out grip, hands wider than shoulder width, chin to bar height each rep.)
    • Sit-ups: 40 in under 2 min. (FORM: full range each rep. back touching ground at bottom, torso upright at top) 

    You will have 30 days from the submission of your application to submit video documentation of your completion of each of these exercises.
