Lifeguard
Job Description: A lifeguard monitors the pool or beach area to ensure safety, enforce rules, and prevent accidents. They perform water rescues, administer first aid or CPR when needed, and maintain safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification (We offer a certification class if you are not already certified) Minimum age of 16 years old.
Knowledge and Skills
A lifeguard should have strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety practices, including CPR and first aid techniques. They must be able to quickly assess situations, recognize potential hazards, and respond effectively in emergencies. Communication and leadership skills are essential for enforcing rules and guiding swimmers safely
Responsibilities
Monitoring the Water: Constantly observing swimmers and water conditions to ensure safety and prevent accidents.Enforcing Rules: Ensuring that all guests follow facility rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.Performing Rescues: Quickly responding to swimmers in distress and performing water rescues when necessary.Administering First Aid: Providing first aid, CPR, or other emergency care as needed.Maintaining Equipment: Regularly checking and maintaining safety equipment, such as rescue tubes and first aid kits.
Working Hours Expectations and Pay Scale
Applicants understand and agree to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed. Pay Rate: $12/hour.

Swim Instructor
Swim instructors are responsible for teaching swim techniques, safety skills, and water confidence to participants of all ages and skill levels. They create a positive, encouraging environment while tailoring lessons to meet individual needs and group goals.

A swim instructor should have strong swimming skills, knowledge of water safety protocols, and the ability to teach various swim techniques. Effective communication, patience, and the ability to adapt lessons to different skill levels are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Swim instructors are responsible for planning and conducting swim lessons, teaching proper swimming techniques and water safety, and monitoring participant progress. They ensure a safe and positive learning environment, provide feedback and encouragement, and respond quickly to any emergencies in or around the pool area. Additionally, they maintain clear communication with participants and, when necessary, with parents or guardians regarding progress and safety guidelines.
Working Hours Expectations and Pay Scale
Applicants understand and agree to work mornings or evenings. Pay Rate: $14/hour.
