DIRECTIONS TO EDUCATION CLASSROOM:

Enter the main lobby at Bingham Memorial Hospital. Take the elevator down to the basement. Follow the signs to "Clinical Education." After getting off the elevator, turn left and walk down the hallway. When you reach the end, turn left again and go down the ramp to the end of the hall. Turn right and continue to the end of the hallway. Turn left and pass the beauty salon. Take the first right. The Education office, where you need to check in, is on the left. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

This course is offered to physicians, nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare workers whose jobs require them to perform ACLS. It teaches the importance of preventing cardiac arrest, high-performance teams, early and continuous high-quality CPR, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, post-cardiac arrest care, acute dysrhythmias, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes. This is a 2-day class for initial participants and a 1-day class for renewal participants. Please contact our office 208-782-2498 for class days/times and availability. PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

This course is offered to those who work in healthcare who respond to emergencies or care for infants and children. This course consists of a series of lectures, videos, and practice sessions, which are designed to help consolidate the skills and techniques necessary to effectively treat pediatric emergencies. This is a 2-day class for initial participants and a 1-day class for renewal participants. Please contact our office 208-782-2498 for class days/times and availability. BLS (Basic Life Support)

This course is designed for healthcare workers who work in a variety of medical settings with a patient-facing role. It trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provider early use of an AED. The in-person class requires a minimum of 3 participants to run. To schedule a live in-person class please contact our office 208-782-2498. A hybrid course is available with online and voice-assisted manikin pass-off. Please see the option listed below for BLS Self-Directed, Voice-Assisted Manikin System.

BLS (Self-Directed, Voice-Assisted Manikin System)

This course is designed for healthcare workers who work in a variety of medical settings with a patient-facing role. This hybrid course consists of an online portion that utilizes adaptive learning and a skills pass-off with a self-directed, voice assisted manikin system. Once the online portion is completed you must come to Bingham to complete the skills pass-off. Please call the education office to schedule a time (208-782-2498) Monday-Thursday 8:00am-3:00pm. The skills pass-off is included in the price. You do not need to sign up and pay for an additional skills pass-off.

Heart Saver First Aid CPR/AED (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator)

This course trains participants to give CPR and use an AED in a safe, timely, and effective manner. In-person one-day class runs 3-4 hours. This course requires a minimum of 3 participants to run. It may be cancelled if there are not enough participants. This course is also available online through shopcpr.heart.org. If you choose the online option, please select the corresponding Heart Saver Skills Pass below.
