  • Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2024 Raven’s Ball, happening Saturday, April 27th at The Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, Alaska!


    Please take a few minutes to complete our volunteer commitment form below. Once submitted, a member of our planning team will follow up with more information and next steps.   • Please select your desired volunteer role(s) below (check all that apply):

  • Volunteer Check In/Out

    These individuals will assist with signing volunteers in and out. They will be stationed in the volunteer room, distributing name badges, confirming assignments, answering questions, and providing direction for volunteers.

  • Attendee Check In/Out

    These individuals will be stationed at the registration table. This position will require the entry of data into a computer-based software program to properly check in attendees during arrival and check out auction winners at the end of the event. Strong computer skills are required for this position!

  • Ushers

    These individuals will be stationed at the main entrance and along the pathway to the event space to greet guests, answer any questions, and serve as wayfinders for the event space. In addition, they will direct our VIP guests to the VIP reception.

  • Live Auction Spotters

    These individuals will assist in identifying bidders in the ballroom during the live auction. Spotters will be assigned a group of tables to monitor during the live auction, signaling to the auctioneer if/when a bid is made from their area. We want outgoing, bold volunteers for this role!

  • Live Auction Support

    These individuals will assist with one of the following during the live auction: 1) model items, including jewelry, furniture, art, and other auction pieces; 2) record the bidding numbers and the final amount bid for the live auction items sold, or 3) collect signatures from auction winners for payment of expensive auction items.

  • Ballroom Tear Down

    These individuals will assist in cleaning up, tearing down and loading out decor once the event ends. Duties will include packing up centerpieces, removing fabric covers from chairs, and removing fabric linens from tables. Comfortable clothing and closed-toed shoes should be worn for this position.
