Self-Tour
A zoo visit for your entire group, without a tour guide or special animal presentations. A special rate for groups of 10 or more. Groups will have full public access throughout the Park without guides. You must pre-book your visit with our Education Department to receive this discount at the gate.

Guided Tour
(Typically about an hour-long)
A docent-led tour throughout the zoo learning about the animals that live here at Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary. Guided tours can have a focus on study topics that your classes are learning about in the classroom. Large groups are broken into smaller groups for this program.

Animal Presentation
(Typically about a half-hour long)
Groups have a choice from several different types of animal presentations. Animal presentations can have a focus on study topics that your classes are learning about in the classroom. Large groups (75+) may be broken into smaller groups for this program. Presentations are engaging and educationally focused.

Bundled Animal Presentation and Guided Tour
(Typically about an hour and a half long)
Animal presentations and guided tours booked together can have a focus on a study topic that your group is learning about in the classroom or separate topics. Large groups may be split and take turns for tours and presentations for this program. This is a fully encompassed program designed for your class study with specific animal engagement.

Outreach
(Programming where the Zoo comes to you)
Outreaches are priced at a flat rate based on the size of the group.
Mileage is included within the Quad-City area (Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Dewey). Outside of that range, there is a $0.50 per mile round trip added to the flat rate. Outreaches are typically approximately 45 minutes to an hour in length and can focus on a variety of topics. We can be flexible with our lesson plans to make a lesson that fits with what your students are learning.

All animal presentations are subject to change as needed, as issues such as weather may affect animal safety and health.
Types of Animal Presentations:
Reptiles (~3 animals)
Creepy Crawlies (~3 animal species) - Arachnids and Insects
Small Mammal (~1-2 animals)
Large Mammal *On-Site Programs Only* (mini-horse or goats)
AZ Natives (~3 animals, a mix of native species)
Zoo's Choice (~3 animals, a mix of different types)
Important Payment Information
The Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary Education Department must receive a 50% deposit to confirm the booking of your Educational Program.
Payment in full must be submitted a minimum of seven days prior to the program date or received within two weeks of the program with an approved signed invoice.
Self-tours only may pay at the gate as they do not require extra staffing.
Cancellation Policies
Cancellations must be made seven or more days in advance to receive a full refund.
A cancellation fee of 25% will be charged for programs that are canceled less than seven days in advance.
Programming can be scheduled anytime during normal daytime zoo operating hours.
Educational Programs must be booked at least 2 weeks prior to the desired program date.
