Welcome to your personalized golf lesson. Feel free to put as much information in the “Comments” section as you'd like. It's critical for me to know what your golf BALL is doing or not doing. (topped along the ground, spinning left/right, shanked etc etc) Further, it's critical to know what YOU are CONSCIOUSLY TRYING to do (or not do) when you swing a golf club. For the purpose of simplicity and percentages, this questionnaire shall be read from a right-handed golfer's perspective. If you are left-handed, please replace the word "right" with the word "left" when reading or answering. My apologies.
I am MOST interested in improving my: (choose just one)
Driver
Mid irons (5 & 6 iron)
Hybrids and Fairway Woods
Wedge Shots Longer than 40 yards

(Please Choose one) Which of these MORE closely describes your IRON game:
I rarely, if ever, take a correct divot with an iron. If i hit the ground, it’s usually to the right of the ball and not usually deep into the ground. I’ve been told that i’m ‘too steep’ when i hit the ground before the ball. I would rather have my ball sitting just off the fairway, on TOP of the rough, than just in the fairway tight/close to the ground. I’m sometimes unsure if i’m standing too close or too far from the ball. At times, i’m not sure if my ball is too far forward (left) or too far back (right) in my stance. I oftentimes hit my long irons too low and my full wedge shots a bit too high. My long iron shots are VERY challenging and the ball can often feel very hard (not soft) when i hit it. (stings hands in cold weather) I can’t seem to correctly compress the ball with my middle and longer irons. I don’t like when i’m standing on a slight elevation and the ball is BELOW my feet. I’d much rather have an UP-hill lie (left foot higher) than a DOWN-hill lie. (right foot higher). I don’t like my 4 and 5 iron, as a matter of fact, I’m considering replacing them with a hybrid.
My divots tend to point to the left, they can sometimes be pretty deep. If i hit the top of the ball, it rarely, if ever, goes to the right. I feel more comfortable with irons than i do with my driver. If i had to grade my 6iron and my driver, i would say i’m a little better with the 6iron. However, my 6iron curves more to the right than my 8 iron and it doesn’t seem to go quite as far as it should. The rough doesn’t bother me too too much with my irons. (unless the ball is sitting too HIGH in the rough). If the ball is ABOVE my feet, on a little mound/elevation, this becomes more challenging. If the shot is not hit on the center of the clubface, it’s more likely that it will be hit towards the toe. (outer half) than the heel. (inner half). My iron shots rarely, if ever, CURVE to the left. If they go left, it usually happens with a shorter iron and the ball doesn’t curve and can go too far.

(Please Choose one) Which of these MORE closely describes your DRIVER game:
My drives lack distance. My drives will mostly curve to the right. I dislike when my ball is teed too high because i might skypop it to the left or straight. My drives that aren’t sky-popped can still go too high. If i had to grade my 6iron and my driver, i would say i’m a little better with the 6iron. 1 or 2 out of 15 drives could go very low and very left with a lot of power and no curve) I am MORE likely to hit the toe than the heel. I am sometimes told that i am hanging back and don’t get to my left side.
My drives don’t lack distance, however they can often start straight or right but then spin sharply to the left. After this happens i might push/block a few straight to the right without much curvature at all. I definitely CAN hit some very good drives. I like to tee the ball fairly high or very high. I don’t like when the ball is teed low. If not a centered hit, I will hit towards the heel (inside) of the club. (vs the toe). I rarely, if ever, sky pop my drives.
