International Student Eligibility Form

Welcome to Daystar Academy's International Student Eligibility Form. I am thrilled that you are pursuing admission to Daystar Academy, and I hope that I can partner with you well as you make this important decision for your student.
Admissions Process

TO RECEIVE AN I-20, you must complete steps 1 - 4:

1. Eligibility Form

Please complete this brief eligibility form to establish eligibility for our program. After our review, our team will reach out with a link to our full application for you to complete.

2. Online Application

A link to our full online application will be sent to you. Please complete the Online Application forms listed in the left menu in the application, beginning with the Applicant Information form.

Submit the following:
- Passport: copy of applicant's information page (must be valid for at least 6 months prior to entry)
- Transcripts: translated copies of last two years
- English proficiency test score
- Health Requirements: immunization record that includes dates in English
- Bank Statement proving financial ability of support for a full course of study
- Agreement to having the applicant taught by Daystar's Statement of Faith and agree to our Communication Policy and Enrollment Agreement
- $100USD non-refundable application fee
After submission of your application, the Daystar Admissions Team will review the application and reach out regarding the next steps.

3. Student Visit

After our admissions team reviews your application, your student will be invited for a Zoom interview with Daystar's International Student Director and Daystar's Admissions Team.

4. Commitment

After receiving acceptance notification, you will be asked to commit to enrollment by completing the enrollment packet.

5. Embassy Interview

Apply for an interview at the Embassy for Student Visas. Immediately notify Daystar Academy when the visa is approved or denied - please email admissions@daystaracademy.org.

6. Before Arrival in the U.S.
- Complete the Enrollment packet
- Pay tuition (+$20USD if wiring) - see schedule of tuition and fees
- Be sure immunizations are current and official record is submitted
- Submit official high school transcript including 2nd semester of the past school year
7. Upon Arrival in the U.S.

Fill out contact information including U.S. address in student/family portal.

Additional notes:

All non-immigrant international students enrolled at Daystar Academy must be on an F-1 student visa. Never enter the United States on a tourist visa if you intend to attend school. If you enter the U.S. on a B-1/B-2 visa to look at schools, make sure your visa lists you as a "Prospective Student."

Daystar Academy does not accept 12th grade applicants.

Additional Considerations
Please note that if the applicant is accepted at Daystar Academy, they must understand the following:

1. As part of the enrollment agreement, applicant agrees to be taught by Daystar's Statement of Faith, and agree to Daystar's Communication Policy.

2. Any high school students expecting to graduate must meet the graduation requirements to receive a diploma. Students must prove that all transfer credits meet Daystar Academy's standards.

3. Applicant must remain a full time student in order to remain in compliance with their student visa.

4. Grade placement will be determined by meeting GPA requirements in the previous semester. Their grade placement will be determined according to school policy.

5. Applicant must abide by any Department of Homeland Security rules and obey the attendance, behavior, driving, guardianship, housing, and all other rules set forth by Daystar Academy. A student will be dismissed from school if these requirements are consistently challenged or falsified.

6. Any false information or failure to disclose academic, behavior, or emotional problems during the application/admissions process may result in dismissal from school with no recourse and no refunds.

7. While a student at Daystar Academy, applicant is considered a minor and must abide by all rules and laws of the State of Illinois, the United States of America and Daystar Academy, even if they are 18 or older.

8. Acceptance is for one year at a time and progress, effort, behavior, attitude and attendance will be evaluated yearly. Daystar Academy is not obligated to re-sign an I-20 to allow a student to continue.

9. International students are not permitted to drive any motorized vehicle unless living with their parents or designated guardian from their home country.

10. Applicant must remain with their placement agency while enrolled at Daystar Academy.
