- 2+ years of psychiatry experience
- Ability to work at least 8 hours a week

Job Description
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)/ Psychiatrist, your job description involves providing mental health care to patients across the lifespan. The roles and responsibilities associated with this position include but not limited to:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to assess mental health conditions, including gathering medical history, performing mental status examinations, and diagnosing mental illnesses.
- Treatment Planning: Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, which may include medication management, therapy, and other interventions tailored to individual patient needs.
- Medication Management: Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications, adjust dosages as needed, and educate patients about their medications, potential side effects, and interactions.
- Collaboration and Consultation: Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and primary care providers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications that can support mental wellness.
- Advocacy and Support: Advocate for patients' needs within healthcare systems, assist with accessing community resources, and provide support for individuals navigating the complexities of mental healthcare.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Continuing Education and Research: Stay updated with advances in psychiatric care through continuing education and engage in research to contribute to the advancement of mental health practice.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and intervention during mental health crises, including assessing for risk of self-harm or harm to others and implementing appropriate interventions.
- Ethical Practice: Adhere to ethical guidelines and standards of practice in mental healthcare, ensuring patient confidentiality and delivering care with cultural competence and sensitivity.
