We are seeking enthusiastic, creative, and committed Georgia high school students (9th-12th grade) to elevate and infuse youth voice into our programs, activities, and events as members of the HealthMPowers Youth Advisory Board (YAB) for the 2024-2025 school year.
Who are we?
HealthMPowers is a statewide nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We champion healthy habits and transform the environments where children live, learn, and play. As champions of healthy habits, we're building a brighter tomorrow for youth through dynamic nutrition education and active lifestyles in schools, childcare centers, and beyond.

As a YAB member, you will not only earn community service hours, but also receive training to become advocates for change in your community. Additionally, you will also gain access to college and job letters of recommendations, exclusive networking opportunities, and the chance to shape the future by providing crucial insights from the youth perspective.
The requirements include the following:
- Attend monthly scheduled YAB meetings (mostly virtual and 1-2 meetings in person-travel reimbursement included; engage with YAB leadership in between meetings)
- Serve for a minimum of one academic year
(opportunities to renew membership)
- Georgia public school students grades 9-12 during the '24-25 school year
- Positive attitude and a commitment to contribute your time, ideas, and
voice to improve the lives of others
