This application is to collect information about our potential new Golden Scholar puppy families. This application doesn't guarantee you a puppy. We will review each application as it's received and then contact those who were selected through email to lock in their place on the wait-list.

Our waitlist for our Golden Scholars is not based upon gender meaning when it's a families time to choose their puppy they can pick from any of the available pups. Are you comfortable with getting a male or female puppy?*

Although our puppies will have a solid start to being house trained, they may not be completely housebroken when they go home and will likely still have accidents indoors. Puppies never use the bathroom indoors out of spite or "on purpose," they simply have small, immature bladders that they cannot fully control yet. Do you understand that they are still babies that will require time, effort, and dedication on your part to continue their training to be fully house trained?*

Do you understand that your puppy will still require training after they leave our home? Our goal is to provide our Golden Scholars with a strong foundation of skills and basic commands, but this doesn't mean they're done learning. People don't stop going to school after kindergarten and neither should your puppy.*

Just like people, all puppies learn at a different pace. At SW Retrievers we tailor our program to match the needs of each individual puppy which means that sometimes a puppy might not fully understand a skill we've taught them. We will do our absolute best to not only have each puppy successfully complete our program, but to exceed our expectations and learn even more. However, sometimes a puppy just isn't quite mature enough to fully grasp an Advanced concept we're teaching just yet. Do you understand that we cannot guarantee that each puppy will be able to successfully complete every Advanced exercise we teach?*

Our puppies are started on Purina Pro Plan puppy food. Switching your puppies food abruptly can cause gastrointestinal upset such as vomiting, diarrhea, and a decreased appetite. Any time you decide to change your puppies food, you should transition to the new diet gradually in order to give your dog's system time to adjust to the change. Do you agree to keep your puppy on Purina Pro Plan puppy food for at least two months before transitioning to a new brand?*

What happens after you submit your application:

1. If approved, you will receive an email letting you know what spot is available on our Waitlist. To lock in your spot on the Waitlist you will be required to pay a $300 non-refundable holding fee. This amount goes towards the total purchase price of your puppy.

2. You will be added to our Official Golden Scholar Waitlist. Welcome to the SW Retrievers family!

3. Be sure to Like & Follow us on Facebook at SW Retrievers to keep up to date with everything going on.

4. Once the puppies are 10 weeks old you will be invited to our home to meet the litter and pick out your puppy based upon your order in the Waitlist. If you're unable to visit in person, we offer video chats.  You will be required to pay a $1500 non-refundable payment towards your balance.

5. The remaining balance is due upon pick up after your puppy turns 12 weeks old.
