Stage Director Application
The Carroll County Community Theatre Board of Trustees is continually seeking applications for qualified stage directors to support the efforts in bringing quality theatrical experiences to Northwest Georgia. Traditionally, the theatre will mount three full-scale productions annually – two plays and one musical. The stage director works in collaboration with a member of the Board of Trustees who serves in the role of the producer. Together, these individuals provide the necessary support to the cast and production team throughout the process. If interested in joining the talented ranks of the Carroll County Community Theatre’s nearly fifty-year legacy of outstanding stage directors, please complete the application on the following pages and upload it to www.carrolltontheatre.com for consideration.
Production Proposal
The Carroll County Community Theatre Board of Trustees welcomes and receives recommendations for plays and musicals throughout the year from a variety of sources through a various of formats. The recommendations are collected and submitted to a production selection committee made up of active Carroll County Community Theatre members and chaired by a Board of Trustee member. Once the committee has read and discussed the potential impact of mounting the recommended productions, the production selection committee chair presents the slate of shows to the Board of Trustees for review. Once reviewed, the Board of
Trustees President shared the slate with all active Carroll County Community Theatre members for feedback. The feedback is then compiled and share with the Board of Trustee members for a final vote on the upcoming
season. Once the season is identified, it is shared with the grater Northwest Georgia community.
Throughout the process outlined above, the Board of Trustees remains active in soliciting potential stage directors for the upcoming production season. At times a production is identified and then matched with a
stage director. Other times a stage director is identified and then matched with a production. Therefore, if you are interested in directing a specific production, we would love to offer you the opportunity to share that information with us. If you are interested in being a stage director and do not have a specific production in mind, welcome you just the same.
