Thank you for your interest in applying for a Jr Staff position with Camp Wannacombac. Jr Staff positions are reserved for 3rd-4th year Patriots who have attended Camp Wannacombac in the past and have held a leadership position in another area, whether that be at the troop or Camp Wannacombac level.
Some areas in which you may be asked to serve as Jr Staff include:
*Opening Ceremony
*Flag Detail
*Kitchen clean up
*Canteen assistant
*Evening activities assistant (all Jr Staff are asked to assist with evening activities)
In order to serve in a Jr Staff position, the following criteria must be met:
*Must be a 3rd or 4th year Patriot
*Must have attended Camp Wannacombac at least once
*Must have earned a level award at the Explorer, Pioneer, or Patriot level
*Must be striving to live out your faith in alignment with the Bible and AHG creed
*Must be able to commit to attending one virtual planning meeting prior to camp (May timeframe)
*Must receive 2 letters of recommendation. One from your Troop Coordinator, Vice Coordinator or Unit Leader AND one from your church pastor, youth pastor or small group leader.
NOTE: Girls who have served as Jr Staff at camp previously do not need another letter of recommendation.
