What is the University-Student Union Board of Directors (U-SU Board)?
The University-Student Union Board of Directors establishes governance and policies
of the University-Student Union. Primarily through its standing committees, this body reviews and develops policies that govern the University-Student Union. Reporting to the Board of Directors are four (4) committees: Audit, Fiscal, Personnel, and Nominating Committee. All committees are chaired by Student Board members.
All positions require students to have a minimum cumulative G.P.A of 2.0. In addition, undergraduate student nominees must have been enrolled at Cal State LA and have completed at least one (1) semester prior to the election, earning a minimum of six (6) semester units during that year.
Undergraduate student nominees must also maintain a minimum of six (6) semester units of academic credit per term while running for office. Graduate Student nominees must maintain three (3) semester units of academic credit per term while running for office.
University-Student Union Board of Directors should anticipate spending approximately 8-10 hours per month on Board activities including meetings.
