As part of Wellington Pride Festival Wellington Rugby Football Union (WRFU) supported by Hurricanes and New Zealand Rugby are hosting a Rainbow Rip Festival.

Rip is a 7 aside game with teams having a max of 10 players. Teams can have player 16 years and older. This is a fun festival and the aim is for everyone to give it a go, have some fun.

Bring your team, or bring yourself down, have some fun and get behind our inaugural Rainbow Rip Festival. Rip rules:

The Rainbow Rip Rugby festival is a friendly, inclusive event designed to provide a safe environment for our Rainbow/LGBTQIA+ communities and allies to get involved in rugby. Anti-social or discriminatory behaviour on the field or the sideline has no place in our festival. By signing up, you and your team agrees in full to:
- Be supportive of all players and supporters & contribute to a positive environment for everyone
- Play in the spirit of the festival which is about participation (not score blowouts) and having fun
