Giveaway Rules

HOW TO ENTER:

Fill out the form above including your contact information and the required questions. Be sure to use the email address associated with your AdoptAClassroom.org account. You’ll also need to have a classroom page on AdoptAClassroom.org and have logged in within the last 60 days of the giveaway deadline to be eligible to win.

AGREEMENT TO OFFICIAL RULES:

Participation in the 2024 Monthly Teacher Conversations Giveaway constitutes an entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules, which are final and binding. Winning a Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

PROMOTION PERIOD:

The 2024 Monthly Teacher Giveaway runs monthly, beginning on the 15th of the month at 12 AM EST and ending at 11:59 PM EST on the 14th of the next month. The first period (March) begins on 3/15/2024 at 12 AM EST and the last period (May) ends on 06/14/2025 at 11:59 PM EST. Entries received before the first period start time or after the last period end time will not be considered.

ELIGIBILITY:

Participants must be a PreK-12 teacher at an accredited PreK-12 public, private or charter school and a legal resident of one of the fifty United States or the District of Columbia and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Participation is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited by law. Teachers must have a classroom fundraising page on AdoptAClassroom.org and must have logged in within the last 60 days of the giveaway deadline to be eligible to win. The page does not need to be public.

WINNER SELECTION:

A random drawing will be conducted on or about the 15th of the following month from all eligible entries received to select 2 Potential Winners. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period. Potential Winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing to accept the Prize.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE POTENTIAL WINNERS:

AdoptAClassroom.org will notify Potential Winners by emailing them at the email address they used to register with AdoptAClassroom.org. If a Potential Winner declines to accept the Prize, or if a Potential Winner is disqualified for any reason, including any violation of AdoptAClassroom.org’s Terms of Use, AdoptAClassroom.org will select an alternate Potential Winner based on a random drawing among all remaining eligible entries received. A Potential Winner is not a verified Winner until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules has been confirmed.

PRIZES:

We will randomly select two Prize winners who will each be awarded one $500 donation to their AdoptAClassroom.org Classroom Page. The Prize consists of only the items listed and AdoptAClassroom.org shall not be responsible for any fees, costs, or taxes arising out of or in connection with Winner’s use of Prize. Prize is non-transferable, and no substitution, assignment or refund of a prize is permitted, except by AdoptAClassroom.org, who reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of greater or equal value, if a prize is not available for any reason as determined by AdoptAClassroom.org in its sole discretion. Limit one Prize per person.

Things like tiny pencils chewed to nubs, musty old textbooks, that same faded bulletin board from a decade ago, or anything else like what’s shown in this old news article. If there happen to be any students in the photos who are identifiable, they must be accompanied by a Student Media Release Form.

(May 2024) We are working on creating some new resources to help teachers reach beyond their immediate friends, family, and school community for fundraising. We know that some of our top crowdfunding teachers have been successful by identifying a key supporter with a large/diverse/engaged social network and then asking that person to share their page - especially during donation match events. This has worked even for teachers at schools with high needs, high poverty, or schoolwide Title I eligibility.

The key supporter may not even donate themself, but has the connections and personality to feel comfortable asking for donations on behalf of their favorite teacher (that's you).
