Allegheny County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Scholarship

The Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Scholarship Fund assists qualifying and current second and/or third year law students with educational expenses, including but not limited to tuition, books or bar review courses.

One scholarship will be awarded this year in the amount of $500.00

Eligibility: The applicant must meet the following guidelines:

1. Be a current second- or third-year law student at the University of Pittsburgh Law School or Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University  
2. Be a second, third-, or fourth-year evening student at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law of Duquesne University;
3. Be a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and intend to maintain active involvement post-graduation;
4. Display a commitment to and involvement with the legal community and/or the community in general;
5. Exhibit financial need;
6. Exhibit academic achievement;
7. Engage in extra-curricular activities; and
8. Intend to practice in Allegheny County and/or Southwestern Pennsylvania.
