STUDENT BEHAVIOUR
Be polite to staff and students.
Be cooperative, respect all individuals and be a good team player.
Follow instructions from staff.
Don't abuse each other, the facilities or any property.
MKUD Svetlost operates a zero tolerance policy towards violence and bullying.
STUDENT ATTENDANCE
Arrive on time and be collected on time.
Attend ALL performances as they are compulsory. Performance dates are given well in advance and students must be seriously committed to attend performances. It is imperative that parents/guardians and students read Rehearsal and Performance Schedules in advance so they can negotiate non-attendance at performances in a professional manner. If a student is unable to attend a particular performance then this needs to be communicated o the Child's choreographer as well as a Committee Member so that choreography can be altered accordingly and children can rehearse the changes in a timely manner.
DISCIPLINE & WARNING POLICY
If you display unacceptable behaviour in class, your teacher will give you a warning. This is to officially tell you that your behaviour needs to change, and give you a chance to improve. We may involve parents/guardians at this stage so they can help you improve behaviour. After two official warnings, subsequent breaches of rules would result in removal from class and cancellation of your place.
If your behaviour threatens the safety of you or others, or risks significant property damage, it may lead to immediate removal from the class and cancellation of your place.
If a student is removed from class, fees will be calculated in accordance with the Payment Terms and Conditions.
UNIFORM / DRESS CODE
TRAINING:
Children are required to wear appropriate footwear to all training sessions. The following three options are considered appropriate footwear:
- Runners / sneakers
- Canvas Shoes
- Opinci
Under no circumstances should children be removing their footwear or dancing in socks or bare feet. This is deemed a safety risk and is NOT acceptable.

BOYS (ALL GROUPS)
Traditional costume as supplied by MKUD Svetlost under a Hire Agreement and opinci (supplied by student dancer).

GIRLS (SENIOR GROUP)
Traditional costume as supplied by MKUD Svetlost under a Hire Agreement and opinci (supplied by student dancer).

GIRLS (INTERMEDIATE GROUP)
Traditional costume as supplied by MKUD Svetlost under a Hire Agreement and opinci (supplied by student dancer).
GIRLS (JUNIOR GROUP)
Traditional costume, red stockings and opinci (supplied by student dancer)
OR
Black skirt, white long sleeve shirt, red stockings, red flower for hair and opinci (supplied by student dancer).

PHOTOGRAPHY
All photos and videos taken by Svetlost Inc and/or accredited photographers remain the property of MKUD Svetlost Inc and may be used for promotional purposes.
Photo/Video Consent & Release
I hereby consent and agree that any person or photographer/videographer engaged by MKUD Svetlost has the right to take or use photographs/videos of my child/children and to use these in any and all media worldwide including online, now or hereafter known, and for promotional purposes.
I hereby release to MKUD Svertlost and the photographer/videographer all rights to exhibit this work in print and electronic form publicly or privately and to market copies. I waive any rights, claims or interest I may have to control the use of their identity or likeliness in the photographs and videos, and agree that any uses described herein may be made without compensation or additional consideration of me.
I acknowledge that I have read and understood the foregoing statement, and am competent to execute this agreement.
