The Golden You Leadership Learner Program is a structured, voluntary learning experience designed to support young people aged 18+ in developing their leadership skills through observation, guided participation, and personal reflection.
This unpaid opportunity is not an employment arrangement, but rather an educational oppertunity to increase you confidence, skills, understand leadership behaviours, explore group dynamics, increase self-awareness and build networks.
Participants - AKA "Youth Mentors" - will engage in pre-camp inductions, take part in non-critical tasks and supporting group activities. They are not responsible for solo supervision, program delivery, or operational decisions.
Throughout the experience, Youth Mentors (Participants) are supported by the Director to complete reflective activities, and receive constructive feedback for their own personal development.
The program also offers the unique benefit of helping participants build their own network of professional leaders, while being personally supported in working towards their individual goals. Golden You Leadership is committed to continuing that support after camp, wherever possible, to encourage each participant on their broader life journey.
The program concludes with a celebration of their growth, a certificate of completion, and optional feedback or reference letters, ensuring the primary benefit of the experience remains with the participant.
