    Staff Induction Acknowledgement Statements

    1. I confirm that I have completed the NERPSA Staff Induction and the required induction activities.
    2. I understand that the NERPSA Staff Induction provides organisation-wide information about NERPSA expectations, staff responsibilities, systems, policies, legal and quality frameworks, and child safe practice.
    3. I understand that the NERPSA Staff Induction does not replace my local service orientation, and I will follow the local procedures, routines, supervision arrangements, emergency procedures, and escalation processes that apply at my service.
    4. I understand that NERPSA is a Child Safe Organisation, and I will act in ways that protect children’s safety, wellbeing, dignity, rights, and best interests.
    5. I will contribute to a child safe culture by using safe practice, respectful relationships, active supervision, professional conduct, cultural safety, inclusion, and early reporting.
    6. I will report child safety concerns, disclosures, suspected harm, unsafe practice, concerning adult conduct, reportable conduct concerns, family violence concerns, and immediate risks through the correct NERPSA pathway.
    7. I will not investigate child safety concerns myself, interview children or adults about allegations, confront a person involved, or decide alone that a concern is not serious enough to report.
    8. I will act immediately if a child is in immediate danger, urgent medical help is needed, emergency services are required, or a child is missing or unaccounted for, including calling 000 where required.
    9. I will actively supervise children, maintain safe positioning, scan and listen, support safe transitions and handovers, and speak up if supervision, ratios, staffing, or breaks do not feel safe.
    10. I will follow current NERPSA policies, service procedures, authorisations, plans, records, and approved communication processes when supporting health, medical needs, allergies, anaphylaxis, asthma, medication, illness, infectious disease, food safety, hygiene, mealtimes, sleep/rest, first aid, incidents, injuries, trauma, and illness records.
    11. I will follow emergency procedures, safe arrival procedures, collection requirements, authorisations, court orders, excursion and transport procedures, sun protection, water safety, attendance records, head counts, and missing child responses.
    12. I will support inclusion, equity, cultural safety, family partnership, child voice, meaningful participation, respectful communication, and reasonable adjustments as part of quality practice and child safety.
    13. I will use digital technologies safely and respectfully, and I will not use personal devices for child images, child information, learning documentation, records, storage, or sharing.
    14. I will use NERPSA-approved systems and follow consent, privacy, storage, communication, and sharing requirements for child photos, videos, records, and information.
    15. I understand that NERPSA services operate under the National Quality Framework, and I will contribute to quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement through my everyday practice.
    16. I will follow NERPSA’s Code of Conduct, maintain professional boundaries, use respectful communication, protect confidentiality, remain fit for work, and raise concerns about conduct that may affect children’s safety, dignity, rights, privacy, or wellbeing.
    17. I will keep records factual, accurate, timely, respectful, confidential, and stored in the correct place.
    18. I understand that confidentiality does not prevent me from reporting child safety concerns, reportable conduct concerns, family violence concerns, unsafe practice, serious incidents, legal matters, or regulatory matters through the correct pathway.
    19. I will use current NERPSA information, including the Staff Resources website, NERPSA App, main NERPSA website, current service policies, Staff Handbook, Position Descriptions, staff forms, newsletters, EAP information, payroll information, and document submission processes.
    20. I will keep my staff records, contact details, emergency contact details, qualifications, certificates, Working with Children Check or VIT registration, required training, and other role-related information current.
    21. I will use current NERPSA processes for leave, Additional Hours, payroll queries, staff forms, document submission, and employment updates.
    22. I will participate in reflective practice, professional learning, feedback, probation, service orientation, staff meetings, policy updates, and PDP processes as part of ongoing professional growth and quality improvement.
    23. I understand that completing this acknowledgement does not end my responsibility to continue following current NERPSA policies, service procedures, child safe expectations, lawful and reasonable directions, the Code of Conduct, my Position Description, and the Staff Handbook.
