*** School functions will take precedence over use by outside groups and
scheduled use by outside groups may be canceled at the building administrator’s
discretion in order to accommodate school functions or use.
Applicant must provide adequate adult supervision to maintain order and
prevent the destruction of school property. The person(s) providing
supervision must either be Garfield County School personnel or approved
in advance by the Principal or their designee.
All non-school property is to be removed at the end of the rental period
unless prior arrangements are made.
The facility is to be left in a clean and orderly fashion when the group
leaves. At a minimum that means gym floors are swept, the toilets are flushed, trash is removed, and any spills are cleaned up.
Garfield School District will NOT be responsible for damage to school or
client/applicant property. Client/applicant agrees to be responsible for all
such damage and to promptly pay Garfield County School District upon
being invoiced.
Garfield School District will NOT be responsible for any accident or injury
incurred during period of use. The applicant or organization will assume all
responsibility for any accident or injury during the event. Applicant
understands and agrees it takes full responsibility to provide medical and
emergency care to all those involved in the event, including participants
and spectators. Applicant warrants to Garfield County School District that
all medical and emergency care will be appropriate and sufficient.
Applicant agrees to indemnify, hold harmless and defend Garfield County
School District and its boards, officials, officers, employees, agents and
volunteers from any and all lawsuits, claims, damages, liabilities, cost, and expenses, including attorney’s fees, arising out of or in any way connected
with this Agreement or use of the facilities, except such that result from the
sole negligence of Indemnities.
Except in the case the building is used for Civic, Community, or Cultural purposes, Garfield School District requires ALL outside groups to have and provide
Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000
per occurrence/$2,000,000 aggregate. Garfield School District must be
named as additional insured under the insurance; ** If general liability
insurance is not provided the building will not be rented.
CONCESSIONS - Only approved concessions and/or refreshments will be
allowed.
Please remember, the following are prohibited on the property: Smoking or any
tobacco products; alcohol in any form; open flames including candles; fireworks.
