  • Consignment Agreement

Thank you for choosing Consigners Collection to sell your furniture, home decor and more. All new Consignors are required to complete a Consignment Agreement to create an account. Your account will remain open and you are welcome to consign with us on an ongoing basis.

Please fill out our convenient online Consignment Agreement form.

  • Format: (000) 000-0000.
  • GENERAL TERMS:

    • Furniture requires pre-approval by Consigners Collection prior to drop-off.
    • Items that arrive with damage, sun fading, stains, excessive wear, or odor (including smoke, pet hair, mildew, etc.) will not be accepted and may be refused at any time. Consigners Collection is not responsible for delivery charges if an item is refused due to condition or style.
    • Refused items must be claimed within 24 hours or they will be donated.
    • Any item not in “ready-to-sell” condition—including items requiring additional cleaning, vacuuming, touch-ups, or missing bulbs, batteries, or hardware—may be subject to a cleaning or supply replacement fee, deducted from the consignor’s portion of the sale proceeds.
    • For your convenience, Consigners Collection provides an Online Consignor Portal accessible through our website. This portal allows you to view available items, sold items, commissions, and payouts. Once your account is created, you will receive an email with access instructions. You are responsible for monitoring your consignor account and all items placed on consignment.
    • All items remain the property of the consignor while on consignment. While reasonable care is taken, Consigners Collection is not responsible for loss or damage due to fire, water, theft, or other causes. Consignors are encouraged to maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
    • This agreement may be revised at any time. Revisions will apply to items accepted after the revision date. Consigners Collection may require execution of a new agreement or addendum to continue the consignor relationship.
  • PRICING & CONSIGNMENT PERIOD:

    • Pricing is determined by Consigners Collection based on brand, style, condition, age, and market demand. Original purchase price may be considered, but final pricing is based on current resale value.
    • The consignment period begins when the item is priced and placed on the sales floor, which may differ from the intake date due to processing time.
    • Items follow a preset progressive markdown schedule.

    Standard Consignment Period

    • Furniture / Home Décor / Handbags / Jewelry
    • 120-day consignment period with 10% price reductions every 30 days:
    • 10% after 30 days
    • 10% after 60 days
    • 10% after 90 days

    Holiday & Seasonal Décor

Holiday décor expires one (1) week after the holiday.
    Seasonal décor expiration dates:
    Spring/Summer: September 30
    Fall: November 30
    Winter: December 31
(Expiration depends on the season in which items are brought in.)

    • Sales and promotions are at the sole discretion of Consigners Collection. Items may be discounted up to an additional 20% at any time to keep inventory fresh.
    • Holiday items follow a separate markdown schedule of 10% every 30 days, with additional markdowns of up to 50% after the holiday or during any holiday promotions.
    • Requests to reclaim items before the end of the consignment period are subject to a 30% restocking fee, based on the item’s starting price. The fee must be paid prior to pickup.
    • Consigners Collection retains the exclusive right to sell all accepted items.
  • COMMISSION:

    • The consignor commission is 50% of the final selling price of each item.
    • The consignor payout is calculated from the final selling price, less applicable fees, taxes, and the Buyer’s Premium.
    • A Buyer’s Premium (approximately 10%) is added to each item’s base price and paid by the buyer. This fee does not reduce the consignor’s commission and helps offset credit/debit card fees, e-commerce costs, processing fees, and marketing expenses.
  • UNSOLD ITEMS:

    • Consignors are responsible for monitoring the status of their items via the Online Consignor Portal. Due to the volume of consignors, Consigners Collection does not notify consignors of sold or unsold items.
    • Unsold items may be retrieved within the final five (5) days of the consignment period. Consigners Collection retains the right to sell items until they are physically removed by the consignor or their authorized representative by the 121st day.
    • Consignors are responsible for locating, packing, and removing all unsold items. Please bring your own boxes and packing materials. For large furniture items, consignors must provide their own labor for loading.
A 30-day extension is available for unsold furniture. During this extension, the commission split changes to 40% consignor / 60% store, and the price will be reduced.
    • Any item left in the store after the 121st day (without an approved extension) becomes store property and may be sold, donated, or disposed of at Consigners Collection’s discretion. All proceeds from such items belong to Consigners Collection.
    • Due to space limitations, expired items cannot be stored. If storage is requested, a $10 per day, per item storage fee will apply and will be deducted from the consignor’s account or paid at pickup.

  • PAYMENTS

    • Check pickup dates: Between the 15th and 31st of each month
    • Checks are issued for balances of $50 or more. Balances under $50 roll over to the next month.
    • If your account becomes inactive, remaining balances may be issued during the normal pay period.
    • Mailing checks incurs a $3.00 fee, deducted from your balance.
    • No cash payouts are offered.
    • A $35 stop-payment fee applies to lost checks due to incorrect or outdated address information.
    • Checks not cashed within the appropriate timeframe will convert to store credit.
