Horticulture Divisions
Class 1:
-Fresh Flower Arrangement - Any type of fresh flower arrangement that is created by the student.
Class 2:
-Ornamental Plants Dish Gardens must be exhibited in a dish type container.
-Dish gardens must be 75% plant material. Compliance will be determined by the judge.
-Terrariums must be exhibited in a covered or closed container for growing plants. It must have at least 3 glass sides and may have an open or closed top.
- Hanging Baskets: All hanging baskets must be in a 10-inch basket.
- Potted Plants show in a pot that is no less than 6 inches in diameter nor larger than 10 inches in diameter. Potted plants MUST be exhibited in a non-decorative single color pot of any material (i.e. clay, plastic, ceramic, concrete) and the container must only include one species of plant.
Class 3:
-Other: May include silk, dried, wreaths, etc. that are created by the student.
Visual Arts Divisions
Class 1: Photography = One black and white print of a person, place, or thing
Class 2: Photography = One color print of a person, place, or thing
Class 3: Photography = One photo story, 3 to 6 photos mounted on one mat board. Each photo will be no larger than 4" X 6". The art board will be no larger than 16" X 20".
Class 4: Photography = One black and white print of a person, place, or thing that has been altered from the original outcome
Class 5: Two Dimensional = i. Oil - work may be on any prepared surface. ii. Acrylic, Watercolor - tempera, gouache, casein iii. Pencil, Pastels, Crayon and Charcoal - must be protected with cellophane. iv. Ink Drawings - may include colored ink and felt tip drawings. V. Mixed Media - two or more media combined in a single two-dimensional art.
I am aware of the regulations and rules along with the obligation that I have made in purchasing and/or making any project for the Bellaire FFA Livestock Show & Auction. Failure to comply, follow and meet the rules and regulations associated with the annual Bellaire FFA Livestock Show could result in losing my privilege of exhibiting, participating or showing any breeding, horticulture, market or visual arts project at the Bellaire FFA Livestock Show and Auction and/or other project shows.
