Procedural Guidelines
1. The Fund's aim is to support registered nurses in South Otago to complete further education.
2. A funding grant may be awarded on the presentation of a receipt for the course fees, and / or travel and accommodation for relevant professional education payment or conference costs.
3. The recipient shall be selected based on the following: Proof of Enrolment for further education relevant to their nursing responsibilities. Currently employed as a nurse in a Health Facility located in South Otago.
4. The Trustees of Clutha Foundation will determine at the commencement of each financial year total income available for distribution in the ensuing year, and the maximum amount that can be applied for.
5. Applications can be made at any time and will be dealt with on a quarterly basis (31 March, 30 June, 30 September and 31 December
6. Applicants will be advised quarterly if their application is successful, with the exact amount of funding being confirmed at the end of the financial year as it will be dependent on the number and $value of any applications in the financial year as to the amount that an applicant will receive in funding.
7. Applications for funding will be considered by Clutha Foundation who will seek professional advice where appropriate.
8. The decision of the granting a grant shall be final, and no appeal or reconsideration will be entered into.
9. The applications will be paper-based application only.
10. The Clutha Foundation may refrain from making an award if it finds no applicants of sufficient merit.
11. The Clutha Foundation reserves the right to announce successful grant recipients publicly.
12. Retrospective applications are discouraged and will only be considered on the recommendation of the CEO of Clutha Health First.
