Terms and Conditions:
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS
Booking will be secured only when the non-refundable deposit payment of 50% of the booking and the booking form is received. Once payment is received, a receipt/invoice will be sent to the client detailing the deposit paid and the remaining balance. By sending a payment you are agreeing to the terms and conditions set below. For organisations and corporations an invoice can be requested. The remaining balance will be due 7 days before the event. The painter will not paint until full payment has been received. For corporate clients terms are strictly 30 days.
EXTRA CHARGES IF APPLICABLE
The client agrees to pay for any accidents or damage caused by client, their guests or pets to artist’s equipment or supplies. The artist will use reasonable care but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The artist will not be liable for non-attendance due to incorrect booking details being provided. Client will be responsible for any parking fees or provide parking at venue. Returned cheques will incur charges.
CANCELLATION POLICY
The artist must be notified of cancellations, by phone or email, as soon as possible. See below for the cancellation fees. In the case a refund is due, a cheque for the outstanding balance will be sent by post. Cancellation by artist: In the rare instance the artist has to cancel, the artist will contact the client at the earliest possibility. The client will be offered a rescheduled date or full refund of the deposit.
SET-UP
The artist will arrive approx 15-20mins prior to agreed time. Please arrange suitable lighting to be available to use and access to tap water. If the event is being held outdoors, please ensure the artist has cover. Please ensure that there is parking available as close to the entrance of the building as possible, since the artist will have to carry heavy equipment in. Failure to do so may result in the artist not being set up on time. Artist is to have a 5-10min break every two hours. Artist is present and will not supervise children. The behaviour and safety of the children is the responsibility of the client/parent/carer/host. It is client/hosts responsibility to manage and vet the face painting queue. Please direct children to the artist if there is space and refrain children if there is a crowd.
SOCIAL DISTANCING
Attendees of the event will respect the artist's area and adhere to social distancing.
PACKING-UP
The artist will stop work at the scheduled time. The client will be expected to pay the full booking fee even if the client uses the artist for less time than booked for. If the end of painting time overuns the client will be responsible to pay for an overlap fee which is £7.50 per 15 mins extra worked. The artist will however, allow 15 minutes grace.
FACEPAINTING
Hosts, left in charge of any children without their parent/carer, are responsible for obtaining permission from the parent for that child to participate. A readymade permission form is available by email on request. You will also be responsible for ensuring only participating people approach the artist for a design. Ensure participant’s mouth and nose is wiped and face is CLEAN and DRY before being seated for painting. Read below for reasons why people should not participate. People who should not participate. Anyone who appears to be suffering from Chicken Pox, Measles, Rubella, Impetigo, Scabies, Cold Sores, Conjunctivitis or who suffer from Eczema or have open cuts and sores. Anyone that appears to have any symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive within 10 days. A child who is generally unwell. Children who are reluctant, too wriggly or asleep! Anyone who has sensitive skin or allergies. However a skin patch test can be carried out on the inside of the arm on parent/carer’s request and left for approximately 60 minutes. If there is no reaction, they can be painted on their face.
Strictly Children less than three years of age cannot be painted.
The artist reserves the right to refuse Anyone that is or seems to fall in any of the categories mentioned above. Anyone that is abusive, violent or intoxicated. Anything that could be considered as offensive. Inappropriate parts of the body.
FACEPAINTER RESPONSIBILITY
The artist
- is fully insured with £5m liability. A certificate can be sent upon request.
- will clean the work station/area, you provided, back to the original manner you provided it.
- will adhere to industry health and safety practices, including one sponge per face to minimise cross infection. Brushes will be washed in antibacterial treated water and water will be changed frequently during the event. All equipment is washed thoroughly after an event with antibacterial soap. Only EU compliant, SFX and cosmetic grade products will be used.
- Will comply with all Covid-19 Safety regulations and is qualified in VTCT Covid-19 infection control.
PROMOTIONAL MATERIAL
Artist reserves the right to display and distribute promotional material during the event. Artist may bring products to sell at the event. If photos are taken by the artist, they will be obtained with express permission from participants and will be used solely for the purpose of promoting the business. The artist will not link identities to any of the photos used or given to third parties.
Facebook – express permission will be sought by the artist for uploading photos to Facebook. Once uploaded the photo will be subject to facebook policies and the artist no longer holds responsibility.
